B&W English Springer Spaniel bitch; Lace ...
Lace was a B&W relaxed but strong bitch, who's background is predominantly Badgercourt breeding. She spent the last few seasons working on various shoots in the Lake District ... beating, picking up and also as an excellent all-rounder as well as (unusually for an ESS) a peg-dog. After a short, sudden illness she died on 6th January 2013 and will be sadly missed. Thankfully we have her daughters Beth, Lizzie and Granddaughter Hester to carry on the lines - plus latest addition "Nook"; also Granddaughter to Lace..

Born 2004, Lizzie was full sister to Beth Her training progressed rapidly and she soon proved that she has an excellent nose. A larger sized Springer, she is deceptively fast and had been working superbly beating & picking up on local shoots throughout the 2015/16 season. Liz had a wonderful temperament, is a very gentle dog and natural retriever. We lost her May 2016 to cancer and she will leave a legacy of super pups and memories but be very missed.

Born 18th June 2006 we purchased Tilly in 2007: Sired by FTW Twynell Tom by FTCh Rydanlue Breeze. In her Pedigree 28 out of the first 30 dogs listed over four generations are either FTCh or have qualified at Field Trials for inclusion in the Kennel Club Stud Book.
Tilly trained exceptionally well and would have been working in the forthcoming season, but after a short sudden illness (as a result of ingesting a stone) she died on 20th August 2009. She had an excellent nose, was very, very quick combined with a superb temperament & extremely biddable - a natural hunter / retriever.
Tilly will be sorely missed by all who knew her

Niks was a Liver & White English Springer Spaniel and a proven sire; a well built, strong & powerful dog, with an excellent temperament - he was really at his best when faced with tough cover to hunt, he had excellent drive and this combined with natural game finding ability, with a superb nose he was an excellent dog to work ... to shoot over, picking up or in the beating line. Niks was a natural retriever and had a soft mouth, he was 100% sound and is very level headed.... level headed enough to be used for the BETA advertising brochures and KC homepage - sample shown below
Bred by Ian Christie and thanks to training/handling by Chris Wadsworth he had a great deal of success in Field Trial competition, including winning a Novice Spaniel Trial (Gamekeepers National Assoc Novice Stake) and an Open Field Trial (The Lothian and Borders Gundog Association Open Stake) and subsequently he qualified for the Spaniel Championships.
Died 22/03/2016 in his 15th year .... he will be greatly missed
